ODP (DMOZ) Open for Submission
After a software upgrade failure, DMOZ has struggled to get back up on its feet since October of last year. Today a DMOZ Meta-Admin posted an update stating that site submissions and update listing forms are back up and running.
Any previous submissions in the DMOZ queue would have been lost in the crash. ODP is encouraging webmasters to go ahead and submit regardless of any prior site submissions.

Why can’t DMOZ publish the pending queue and status so I can see whether they know about my site. Or at least allow the same site to be re-submitted without penalty. I think a bit of automation at the front end would really help.

I have a site waiting for two years to be reviewed. It’s all volunteer.
I am surprised a billion dollar company owns it (AOL) and another billion dollar company (Google) uses it’s data for thewir directory.

DMOZ is really not very professionel! I can understand why some dubious website is in the dmoz directory! And some very good site like mine :> not!
