Infinidigm Develops SEO Content Analyzer for iPhone

Ever surfing the net with your iPhone and wish you could analyze a website’s SEO? Now, for about $15, you can do it to it with Infinidigm’s iPhone SEO Content Analyzer.

So how popular is SEO-on-the-go going to be? I suppose it depends on the individual SEO expert. For those that see this as another excuse to get rid of lugging their laptop around on semi-casual long-term ventures, it makes some sense. For those that like to tool around on their iPhone, reading RSS feeds before they fall asleep (which is where I often use my E71) and might check a link and look at some SEO, it could be helpful there as well.

The tool offers a pretty impressive array of options:

  • Complete source code listing
  • Listing of META keywords
  • Listing of META description
  • Listing of all META tags in the document
  • Tag counts - this feature counts all the tags in a document to give clues about composition.
  • Contents of the tag.
  • The body of text with tags removed
  • Percentage of body words that are stop words (See Supported Languages Below). Stopwords are not counted by the search engines, so you can determine how effective your marketing copy is by knowing how much of what you’ve written will be ignored.
  • The total word count of the document for words that are not determined to be numbers
  • Phrase counting for phrases of length 1 to 5 words — this helps you determine repetitive phrases in  the document
  • The anchor tags in the document — and, specifically if there is an image in the link text.
  • The inner HTML of of the tag. This is the same as the link text.
  • All the image tags in the document
  • The the text of the image “alt” attribute

The developers are honest about some problems they have with memory and the program shutting down, but it’s not too different from the usual complaints about iPhone apps.

So, if you’ve ever been on your iPhone and wished you had SEO tools, now you’ve got a solution. I just wonder how many of you there are out there.

From iPhone, the app is located here.
