Ed has posted alleged consumer complaints about our firm. We investigated both matters and discovered these alleged consumers never existed! Its pure extortion by a man who is a convicted felon for gods sake. Dont let this felon bully you into parting with your money to remove a posting

RipOff Report helped me get my money from ireplica. I guarantee you I will supply you with ALL my emails and long distance phone calls to these idiots, trying to recop my money. Before you judge them (RipOff Reports) so harshly talk to me. Maybe you would have liked to be me on Christmas morning with NO GIFT. There are business’s who desirve to be shut down. I hope RipOff Reports will save someone else from being the next stupid trusting moron on a RipOff site.

A mean spirited customer posted a false entry about me & my business on Rip Off Report because I was 5 minutes late calling him for his free consultation.
When I posted a rebuttal, he got his friend (assuming it’s not just him posting again) to also post the same lies, so it doesn’t seem to matter if I rebuttal or not, ROR will just allow anyone (the 2nd person isn’t even a customer) to report whatever they want. They told my legal counsel that if the person has insider information, they are allowed to post.
Well, how does ROR know this person has insider information?
What proof do they have?
If indeed this 2nd person is a legit person, it’s clear he doesn’t want me to continue my business because my business creates more competition for him. He eludes to this in the post.
Something needs to be done by this unethical site.
While I’m sure it has helped many a customer, clearly it’s creating a negative persona for hard working businesses.
I even told the customer to ask me all the questions he wants via e-mail for his consultation & I’ve never heard from him since.
Thanks
Michelle

Thanks to Rip-off Reports.com, my bank had to reimburse me for the scam that Experian Credit Agency runs advertising a “free” credit report. But my bank has not been reimbursed. The FTC, BBB, and AG blew off my reports. experian goes by CIC, Triple Advantage, ConsumerInfo.com, Credit Manager, Credit Expert, and god knows how many more aliases. The BBB told me that since the company had no reply, they were closing my file, but would “note” that I had complained. Coincidentally, this company is a member of the BBB.
There is a place for a rebuttal on that site, but I did not see ONE rebuttal for this company. Thank God for Rip-off Report.com!!

Ed Magdelson is a low life criminal. The man tries to sell himself as caring and trying to help the poor cosumers who have been “ripped off” by various businesses. Ed is pathetic and only cares about ED and what he can extort from businesses. No character, moral fiber, integrity or courage. He is a worthless excuse for a human being who is probably disgusted with himself as well
March 1st, 2007 at 11:44 pm
This site and Ed Magdelson is a complete fraud. Anyone with an iq above a rock can see whats behind this character and his so called helping people that have been wronged by companies. Its all about money in Ed’s pocket and nothing else. The guy has no character or morals, hides behind the site and tries to extort money from businesses. We are all retired law enforcement offices from federal level to state level and wish everyday we work back on the job. We would take a personal interest in pursuing this guy and an avenue to put him back in state prison where he belongs

Rip off report has and can help others in the future, however a company that helped me resolve my debt totally in a matter of 3 years! Did I have problems along the way….of course I did, my payment was raised a little because the rep did not add in something, but still…what I paid in the “program” was still less than what I was paying on my own and instead of 22.3% average interest, I paid 6.25%! I am happy and out of a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, 1 worst…I give them a 9. Everyone needs improvement, and even when there are angry ex-employees, you have to take that info with a grain of salt and know that people get mad when someone is fired or quits, so take what you want into consideration with sites that are not 100% Validated like ripoffreport.com, but they CAN help you if sensible people post to them.

Its one thing to have the freedom to publish what Ripoff wants on their own site. That’s fair if someone wants to use Rip-off and search for me. But they stick their confirmed lies/material on the Goggle Search right next to my good name. So Ripoff is using the negative material to advertise their site and sell books while using Goggle as their Extortion mussel. They benefit unconfirmed negative reports in public forum (where it can harm you greater than a credit report). Shouldn’t they fall under the same laws as a credit-reporting agency? This might be where we could petition the court to make their site legal (publishing their name and address for legal service) and preventing Goggle’s participation in an Extortion scheme and personal terrorizm.

Dont let this get to you this much. Do your research on rip off report and Ed. You will soon learn of his long history of dirty deeds and lies and criminal acts. He is hanging on by a thread literally and days are so numbered. We received your call and will be in touch very shortly. We have been overwhelmed with nearly 165 calls from victims of rip off report with false postings and lies. We are busy and our legal department is working daily gathering all this information to slam Ed and rip off report. He thinks he can hide under bogus names and addresses but we can find him or anyone in less than 10 minutes or less to serve him so we are actually excited and anxious to nail him.
Look at the person behind rip off report, a criminal, a liar, extortionist and alot more. If he has to resort to making a living like this come on? That tells you alot about the person does it not?
April 24th, 2007 at 11:35 am
One of the main issues seem to be Google rankings. There might be a way to try and fight back. Not sure if this will work, but it’s a possibility.
Under the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) of Google Search is, “How can I report poor quality search results?” You can submit your complaint to Goggle via this link:
http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py?page=troubleshooter.cs&problem=irrelevant&contacttype=irrelevant&stage=fm&contacttypemaster=prob&bugs=irrelevant&Action.Search=Continue
I would try and explain that the search results are inaccurate, information is not verified, or whatever your situation is. I would not advise, though, to rant and rave about how ROR extorted you or whatever your case may be.
Stick with the facts relevent to the situation (even if you feel that extortion is relevent). Remember, the goal is to prove why you feel the search engine result is inaccurate. The goal is not to tell Google your life history with ROR and related matter.

KMS INVESTIGATIONS IS DOING A GOOD THING. WE NEED THIS SLIME BALL ED AND HIS GARBAGE EXTORTION SITE OFF LINE AND QUICK. WAS TALKING TO KMS THE OTHER DAY AND TOLD ED IS GOING THROUGH ALL THE KMS POSTINGS SEARCHING FOR MORE RIP OFF FRAUD VICTIMS AND ED IS TRYING TO DELETE ALL KMS INVESTIGATION POSTINGS ABOUT HIM. WELL ED IT MUST BE NICE TO SEE POSTINGS ABOUT YOU AND REMOVE THOSE POSTINGS! PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH AND LEAVE THOSE NEGATIVE POSTINGS UP AND RUNNING ABOUT YOU JUST LIKE YOU DO TO COUNTLESS BUSINESS YOU HAVE POSTED FRAUDULENT REPORTS ABOUT TO HURT THEM AND ASK FOR MONEY FROM THOSE BUSINESS. ED’S DAYS ARE NUMBERED GO KMS INVESTIGATIONS AND SHUT HIM DOWN

Hey; you companies have DAC. We the little guys need something to. I have submitted a report to rip-off,justifiably I might add. What the hell, most items on DAC are false and are put on just for spite!! Seems to me Rip-Off is ruffing some feathers. Or maybe could be the truth hurts.?? I intend to support Rip-Off to help keep those in-line that need it!! What’s good for goose is good for the gander!!!

I agree 100% that Ed is a liar and a crook. He published complete lies and false facts from one of our part employees and never verified the source. Our attorney threatened her if she did not go to RipOffReports.com site and input an apoligy which she did with a request to remove the article. This guy should be in jail. Honest hard working business owners are at the mercy of this low life individual. I would be happy to offer any help to give Ed his just dues.
June 5th, 2007 at 5:27 pm
Rip off reports is a slanderous operation and I for one would LOVE to join any action to hold the site owners responsible for not verifying facts and not making folks list their real name!
Why cant we start a web site called “Terriable, Lieing, Cheating, Worthless Employees that you don’t want to hire”…….?
OH THATS RIGHT-we would be sued!
July 17th, 2007 at 2:05 am
I’d be extremely happy to find out how to remove the business name from R I P off.com
Lindsay Woodburne of Phoenix, totally slammed our company with outright lies simply because she wanted things her way instead of according to the contract she signed. She made a clear threat to the company president that she was going to conduct a smear campaign to get back at him and even her own Father advised the president that she would throw a fit until she got her way.
The crazy thing is even our lawyer said we would win the case without a problem, but unfortunately it would just keep costing US more and more money!
Where’s the justice in that? I’m All for outing the rip off’s out there, but unverified lies should be illegal.
August 15th, 2007 at 12:21 pm
I’d like to know how to have a false complaint removed from Rip Off website please. I am with a small company and this could be really harmful to future business! Thank you.
August 20th, 2007 at 6:27 pm
Well “Sue”,
Make that 4 people… The $30,000 fee for removal is real, and is probably just the beginning of the extortion. Paying would lock you in to their racket, because they could always go public with your “payoff”.
“that Ed works with companies to make them better” you’re joking of course! Paying Ed $30,000 helps out small businesses?
I’d say writing Google is the best answer.

Ed is undeniably an “eccentric” individual, and RoR certainly has its faults. I have been a loyal RoR reader and contributor for years. I nonetheless have a BIG problem with the “Corporate Advocacy Program,” and agree with many people who have come to the conclusion that the Program at least borders on extortion.
But consider the following scenarios. First, let’s imagine that I get a haircut from the local barber. He gives me an awful cut, and I walk away looking like Mr. T. I can tell my friends, neighbors, loved ones, etc., about my bad haircut and let the market forces do their work.
Second, let’s imagine that I am wronged by a multi-national financial corporation. I can tell my friends, etc., about my bad experience, but what good does that do for the rest of the world?
RoR allows me to post accounts of the negative experiences I have had with large companies that may be outside the gambit of effective “word of mouth” complaints. As such, I feel that it serves a VERY important role in our society.
Further, RoR allows for rebuttals from satisfied customers, employees, owners, and other people who may question the validity of the complaint. In my opinion, the rebuttal option lends to the validity of the site, and counteracts the tendency toward posting of illigitmate complaints.
But as I said, there are faults. There are also companies out there that can help bump an RoR listing down a few pegs on a Google search. I condone these companies so long as they perform an independent investigation into the legitimacy of the complaint.
Any outfit that tries to stifle ANY complaint, without verifying the validity or invalidity of the complaint, suffers from its own ethical deficit, and has no right to point to the ethical deficits of anyone else.
I welcome responses to this post, as I feel that an informed debate is necessitated in this situation. I’m not sure if this site will allow for it, but my email is timothybarrettesq [at] yahoo [dot] com.
Best regards to all!
October 13th, 2007 at 9:49 am
anyone who has had success removing or pushing back these listings, email me at ashamax@gmail.com Our competitor posts about us like once a week for 3 years. Not a single complaint is verified, our postive responses are NEVER posted, and we have had a customer who complained, realized it was their mistake supplying an invalid shipping address, apologized to us, and posted a great positive review for our company 14 times. 14 times, and it was NEVER POSTED. “consumer advocacy program” you mean EXTORSION?
October 22nd, 2007 at 11:32 am
I came across ripoffreport while investigating one of the individuals who posted above. He has a history of litigious behavior, so I will not mention his name. However, my independent sources have confirmed that everything ROR published is true, at least for this person. So either he is telling the truth and 25-30 other people from three different states are in collusion against him, or he truly is the unscrupulous individual he is reported to be. Do the math, folks!

A good friend of mine owns Big Sam Moving Company ( www.BigSamMoving.com ). A few years ago, he fired a temporary worker for drug abuse. The addict then retaliated by filing an obviously false report against Sam’s company on www.RipOffReport.com - and although RipOffReport sounds like a good idea, the owner of the site does not check reports for validity, and refuses to remove demonstrably false entries even when threatened by lawsuit. I have tried to get the report on my friend’s company removed for several years to no avail…. and it has been there since 3/21/2004. The company SAYS that rebuttals may be made to postings, but any reports posted will NEVER be removed to prevent “extortion”.
Due to the fact that RipOffReport is ITSELF an unscrupulous company that, like a shotgun, can be used for good or evil, I have posted the following Ripoff Report on their own web site.
The original rebuttal I filed against this OBVIOUSLY FALSE complaint is nowhere to be found. RipOff Report obviously screens rebuttals - so why can’t they screen the complaints for validity? After filing a rebuttal you get the following message:
File a rebutal:
Thank you for your comments…
Your REBUTTAL will be posted just after midnight, Pacific Time. If you have identified yourself incorrectly under the wrong category, used insulting or foul language, or have provided incorrect contact information, your REBUTTAL will not be posted!
The following is a RipOffReport we filed against RipOffReport on their own Web site.
We have a false report that RipOffReport REFUSES to delete from their system - even though it is OBVIOUSLY a FABRICATION
The report was filed against Big Sam Moving Company
See: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/084/ripoff0084778.htm
Which was written by a former employee of the company who was FIRED for drug abuse in accordance with company policy. Big Sam Moving is a reputable company that has been in business for almost 20 years, and the principals of Big Sam Moving are preparing to file a lawsuit against RipOffReport, and may make it a CLASS ACTION.
A potential resource for having this report removed has been contacted at:
http://blog.usweb.com/archives/helping-companies-who-are-being-extorted-by-the-rip-off-report/
Although RipOffReport may offer a valuable service, there is no investigation to see that reports are LEGITIMATE - or that reports even come from customers of the companies being reported. Therefore, RipOffReport serves as a convenient mechanisn for EXTORTION and unwarranted retaliation by disgruntled employees trying to extort money from employers.
I am probably going to be banned from posting on RipOffReport for filing this complaint, and so I am also posting it on my own Web site at:
http://www.AssholesAmongUs.com/ripoffreport.htm
March 31st, 2008 at 3:47 am
Sure rip-off report may help some people, but let me ask you something to those who haven’t been hurt by rip-off report, which is worse:
1. Having your reputation tarnished with no way to fight back and prove your innocence and have it removed
or 2. Being allowed to blacken someone’s name when they screw you.
Money has value, our reputations are priceless. Not only does Ed Magedson the guy who owns rip-off report hurt people, but most companies that you pay to have rip-off report removed are owned by Rip-off report.
Lastly, let’s say you resolve your issue with a company after your rip-off report, did it ever occur to any of you that the rip-off report will remain and continue to tarnish that company even if you were right? This is extortion, and the man should be in jail.
