Google Adds Real-Time Traffic
Nothing is more frustrating than to find yourself wedged in standstill traffic, anticipating a multi-car pileup, only to find that commuters have found a stranded motorist to be more interesting than their own lives. Wouldn’t it be nice to know ahead of time where traffic is pilling-up and where the best alternate route might be? Google may have the answer.

Google Maps recently added a new feature to their latest version allowing mobile users to view where traffic congestion is, estimate unexpected delays and estimate drive time in over 30 major US metropolitan areas including Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C.
The new feature will provide mobile users with the most up-to-date traffic information, sent directly to your mobile device. Traffic conditions will be highlighted in easy to read red, yellow, and green overlays, making your to-and-from work commute or travel planning more pleasant.
