Do We Have a Consensus Here?

What makes a good sales piece is a clear, unique benefit to it’s users, and a clear call to action.

When creating websites, people continue to ignore a basic marketing principle. Here’s a great example:

Head on over to http://www.Consensus.com. Look at the homepage. Without clicking on any other links on the homepage, or going further into the site, try and tell me what this company does.

With a fraction-of-a-second attention span of most web users, how many people are they losing per day because there is no clear benefit on their storefront? It’s sorta like starting a shoe store, blacking out the windows, and naming it something obscure like “Hello”.
